Arriving by Bus & Train

Lübeck airport is very easy to reach using public transport.

Hamburg Shuttle Bus
The shuttle bus provided by the Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein AG (VHH) runs directly between the airport and the bus station in Hamburg (ZOB). The bus stops right in front of the terminal. The entire journey only takes approx. 55 minutes.

Decidedly practical: The bus timetable is scheduled to coincide with the arrival and departure of all scheduled flights of the operating airlines. The shuttle from Hamburg arrives in good time for you to check-in at Lübeck airport and returns to Hamburg right after your flight arrives – even if your flight lands 20 minutes early.

Fare: €8 per person (single) - Price changes are possible.

Lübeck urban transport - bus line 6 
The stop for bus route 6 is on Blankenseer Strasse not far away from the terminal (approx. 50 m) . The journey to the bus station/central train station in Lübeck city centre takes 25 minutes.  

Fare: €2.40 per person (single - Price type number 3).

Train Station  "Lübeck Flughafen'
The new train station is located in a distance of approx. 300 m from the terminal.
The train will bring you directly to the main Central Station of Lübeck from where you can easily take the train to Hamburg Central Station. You can reach Lübeck Airport  from Lübeck, Lüneburg via Büchen with the trains of the DB Regio AG. In Lübeck, Büchen and Lüneburg there are connections in direction to Kiel, Puttgarden, Schwerin, Uelzen and Hamburg.

*The group ticket of the Schleswig-Holstein-Tariff is valid for up to five persons for any number of trips within selected routes from 9.00 until 3.00 on the following day. On weekends and public holidays, the group ticket is valid all day. For the route 'Lübeck Hbf." to "Lübeck Airport", the tariff of the Tariff Group Lübeck applies. Rates are valid until July 2008.
